REPORT AN INCIDENT

STUDIESOCIALT

THE AUDITORS

Study-related social issues encompass physical, mental, and social well-being related to studies. Examples can include questions regarding the study environment or JML (equality, diversity, and equal opportunities). The chapter’s student safety representative is responsible for matters that directly or indirectly affect studies, either physically and/or psychosocially. This can involve incidents related to discrimination, harassment, insecurity, or situations where something hasn’t been handled properly.

Examples include:

  • Unfair treatment

  • Exclusion within a group

  • Sexual harassment

  • Improper handling during a recruitment process

  • Inappropriate alcohol serving or unhealthy pressure around alcohol

Or matters directly related to the study environment such as:

  • Mental health issues

  • Alcohol abuse (your own or someone you suspect)

  • Support for victims of crime

  • Lack of accessibility

  • Damaged interior

It’s important to emphasize that these are just examples – nothing should feel too small to report. The student safety representative (SSO) is there to provide support and help refer the issue to the appropriate person. The SSO remains neutral and has no obligation to report crimes; this is done only in consultation with the appropriate individual(s). To ensure proper support and assistance, it's recommended to include contact details for further communication and feedback, but anonymous reporting is available if needed.

The auditors are available to the chapter’s members for matters concerning the chapter's activities, any discrepancies, financial questions, whistleblowing-related issues, as well as questions about rules, governing documents, and recruitment. You can reach out to the auditors at any time to obtain information, ask questions, or raise any concerns. Their role goes beyond just formal auditing and includes being a resource and support for members in understanding and following the chapter’s internal processes and regulations. The auditors are there to promote transparency, accuracy, and good governance within the chapter.

You are welcome to contact the auditors at any time, both on campus and through an anonymous survey. You can, of course, also email revisor@maskinsektionen.se.
